Placement Year Vacancy at L'Oreal

To work in the Category Management team, supporting and assisting the Category Manager on the development and implementation of projects, and the standardisation of the Category Review presentation.

This placement provides an excellent opportunity to understand and gain experience of Category Management at L’Oreal. It will also provide significant exposure to both the Sales and Marketing teams. The role will also involve liaising with several divisions within a retailer and will allow you to develop your project management skills, and will test your creative and communication skills, efficiency, co-ordination and interpersonal skills.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Support the relevant Category Manager in the creation of the overall visual layout
• Work with Merchandising and Category Management teams, and a creative agency in the development of a detailed proposal for each category
• Work with Design team to ensure the project development progresses within agreed timelines
• Manage the development of visual and prototype designs for all categories through a creative agency
• Gain agreement from marketing teams from both divisions at all stages of development
• Ensure that both Sales teams are fully briefed on the project development on a ongoing basis

Standardisation of Category Review Presentation

• Support the relevant Category Manager in the standardisation of the Category Review presentations across the whole team
• Liaise closely with Cat Man team and a creative agency in the development of an overall ‘look’ for the presentation template
• Work across all categories to provide input on standardisation of presentation. Make recommendations on both content and flow of presentation
