Head Office

Placements are available across the business, from Communications to Product Development, Online to Procurement in Partnership Services our shared services division. You’ll be given hands-on experience by getting involved in real projects. You’ll also receive relevant training such as assertiveness and presentation skills, as well as gaining access to Partners allowing you to learn from experts across the business. You’ll be based at our Head Office in Bracknell, Berkshire.

Retail Management

Based in a Waitrose branch, our aim is to prepare you for a role as an Assistant Section Manager (ASM). You’ll specialise in one section and learn all about it so that when the time comes you’re ready to move to another branch to prove yourself as an acting ASM. Before your time with us ends, you’ll get to shadow a Department Manager to see what that feels like. There’s no better introduction to a retail career. You could be based in any of our stores across the UK. We try to take into consideration your preferred location but this cannot be guaranteed.

Our placements attract the best. That’s why you’ll need to be on track for a 2:1 in your degree and have a real passion for food retail, a genuine interest in people and a natural ability to bring out the best in people.
