Construction Placement

We’ll give you the opportunity to get involved in real-life projects, through which you’ll make a valuable contribution to our business. During the year, you’ll complete six one-week placements, giving you a thorough grounding in what we do. For the rest of the year you’ll be placed into our on-site Construction team, where at any given time we’ll be working on around 400 developments across the country.

We’ll be looking for you to bring fresh ideas and imagination to the team, as well as the ability to manage people, budgets and costs. On a daily basis, you’ll support the Site Manager in co-ordinating trades, direct labour and materials, and will deputise for them as necessary. You’ll also work alongside the sales team to make sure that regular meetings are attended and all procedures are followed. And you’ll ensure that the on-site construction team is fully resourced, directed and supported.

This one-year industrial placement is a paid opportunity that will prove really valuable if you’re in your penultimate year of study. We primarily look for students studying the built environment (Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architectural Technology, Building Surveying or similar). You’ll also need to be a well-rounded person, with the ability to make decisions and understand how they’ll impact on the wider business. And you’ll be a confident communicator who’s comfortable in a range of social and professional situations.
