About Unilever

Unilever is one of the largest fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies in the world. It makes some of the world’s most loved brands: Dove, Axe, Lipton’s, Rexona, Magnum, Knorr and Hellmann’s, to name a few. Unilever takes care of the whole supply chain of its products, from development and sourcing right through to production, marketing and distribution. 174,000 people globally produce brands that are sold in 190 countries and used by two billion people daily.

About the role

If you have a logical mind, enjoy problem solving and are interested in Operations Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Planning or Logistics, then a 12 month Industrial Placement in Supply Chain Management at Unilever could be for you. Believe it or not, Unilever’s global Supply Chain is the largest division in the company. We make some of the world’s best loved brands (Dove, Flora, Tresemmé, Ben & Jerry’s, Comfort, Knorr and Marmite to name a few), and we want students with the will to lead others in driving these brands forward.

Our people have the opportunity to help build a bright future for our world, making a big impact every day, on a local level, across Europe and the globe. We have a proven tradition of developing our own purpose driven leaders and encourage innovative thinking.

At every stage of our supply process, starting with sourcing raw materials and ending with timely delivery to our customers. It’s down to us to make sure our products are available on the shelves at the highest quality, when consumers want them and at a good price.

Future focussed feedback and challenging goals drives innovation and ambition within a performance culture and an inclusive and informal environment. We will push you to achieve your potential and make a big business impact where you learn from the best.

Our Supply Chain Management Summer and Industrial Placements are a chance to showcase your ambition, thinking and skills, with total support from a line manager and a buddy either in one of our 11 factories or the head office. The top performers on the industrial placement will be offered a place directly onto our Future Leaders Programme, starting when you complete your degree, without needing to apply. We also have excellent benefits to support you through your placement including a salary of £20,000, 20 days annual leave and online training.

We will accept applications from any degree discipline. Students must have completed the penultimate year of their undergraduate degree by the time they start their placement and be returning to study after their placement.
