Assessed Internship

The Assessed Internships we offer can lead to a potential place on our Graduate Programme. They also provide an opportunity to find out what it’s like to work in some of the biggest and most innovative departments of their kind, in an industry that impacts directly on the future of our planet.

Lasting typically twelve weeks but sometimes as long as twelve months, we will involve you in live projects specifically matched to your interests and abilities. This is not just work experience – this is working for Shell, in real teams, alongside true professionals. You receive regular and structured performance evaluation from your mentor and direct supervisor, and find out what the energy industry is really like, from the inside.

We have a very wide range of Internships available across areas such as Business Technology and HR, Commercial Business and Engineering and Science.

Our Assessed Internships are suitable for undergraduates in their penultimate year of study.

Candidates should apply online via the button below. You can select up to two Areas of Interest.

The deadline for application is 31st January 2016. Early application is strongly recommended.

After submitting your online application, you will be invited to complete our online assessments. Successful candidates are then invited to a telephone interview. However Assessed Internship applications received between August and the end of November 2015 will not be screened until December 2015. Therefore applicants will not be advised of interview dates before December.
