What you can expect

We're looking for an ambitious and inspirational intern to join our communications team for a twelve month placement. Working within our specialist crop protection business, you'll play an active role in all aspects of the communications team's work.

  • This will include event management, in which you will obtain supplier quotes, send out invitations, draft and send out communication emails, plan, organise and attend events.
  • You will also be involved with public relations in which you will liaise with PR agents, attend meetings where the Campaign Manager briefs the PR agent and you will feed back actions from meetings to the stakeholder engagement team.
  • In addition to chasing up advertising agencies, obtaining quotations and drafting design work, you will be responsible for website and intranet development.
  • You will also take care of social media by uploading new text, pictures and links onto the internet and manage content creation.

What we expect

  • You are working towards a PR, Marketing or Communications degree expecting at least a 2:1.
  • Beyond this, you are proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, confident working with IT programmes and able to use your initiative.
  • You are a confident, self-motivated individual with excellent communication and work management skills, which are critical to succeed in this varied role.
