Marketing Placement

During the 12 month placement programme you'll have the chance to build on your university education and from day one you will become an integral part of the Group Marketing team.

We’ll use our resources and expertise to give you a real understanding of our global business. You will be given real responsibilities and given your own projects which will involve exposure to senior management. As part of the global team you will get to work with colleagues from different countries.

During the placement year you will be given numerous projects to help you gain experience to all aspects of a global B2B marketing team, typical projects may include:

  • Research & Analysis – competitor, customer and market research with data analysis
  • Digital Media – websites, social media campaigns and app design
  • Marketing Communications – literature creation, exhibition planning and PR support

Throughout the year, you'll have regular meetings with your assigned ‘buddy’ and monthly one-to-one meetings with your manager. Working together, objectives will be set and your goals will be reviewed to help your personal development.

You will need to be able to demonstrate

  • Sound theoretical knowledge of marketing and research techniques
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with engaging style to suite different audiences
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good computer literacy and word processing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Ability to quickly form and develop good working relations
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Enthusiasm, commitment and self-motivation
  • Ability to work effectively without supervision
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Candidates must be expecting to achieve a 2.1 or above in a Marketing or related degree
