Finance Industrial Placement

When you join Johnson and Johnson as a Finance Placement Student you will embark on an industrial placement year that gives you a high level of exposure to commercial decision making and places you at the very heart of our business.

We have an exciting opportunity for a finance placement student to be based in the local finance team of our Pharmaceutical business, Janssen. You will find yourself working alongside senior finance and accounting professionals to support our commercial and scientific functions. You will be involved in accounting activities, treasury activities and will carry reporting and analytical responsibilities for financial information in your area.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Responsibility for inter-company accounting – requiring communication with stakeholders worldwide
  • Treasury responsibilities
  • Input and submit hedging requests – requiring communication with local business partners
  • Processing finance transactions including journal entries
  • Financial reporting
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Involvement in project work throughout the year
  • Communicating with large major banking organisations

Requirements of the role

  • 2 years of degree level study completed
  • A minimum of 2:1 achieved in first year of study
  • Accounting and Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Sciences and Business related degree types preferred
