Placement Employer’s Profile
Who we are?
TUI UK and Ireland is the biggest tour operator in the UK. Thomson and First Choice merged in 2007 to become TUI Travel. We sell millions of holidays each year, and our brands include some of the best known names in the business – Thomson, First Choice, Crystal Ski and Skytours to name a few. As well as being a market leader, we’re a FTSE 250 company which means we have to make sure we’re always one step ahead of the competition. It’s a fast-paced business to say the least.
The Placement Scheme…
For 2012/13, we’re offering 9 placement opportunities within the Commercial Division of our head office in Luton. The roles are in three departments - Product, Yield and Cruise. The placement scheme is a great opportunity. You’ll be part of a huge organisation, in a fulltime role with real responsibility, making important commercial decisions. But it doesn’t end there. Our placement scheme also includes an induction period, workshops and social events with your new colleagues and fellow students. Training workshops continue throughout the year and include sessions like Time Management and Be Assertive. It goes without saying we think our Placement Scheme is one of the best. And we’re pleased to say we’re not alone. We won best placement scheme for companies with over 250 employees, best new placement scheme and best overall at the 2010 National Council for Work Experience Awards.
