Samworth Brothers are one of the largest food manufacturing and distribution companies in the UK, employing over 6,500 people. We were established as a family run business over a century ago and despite our phenomenal growth we maintain our family values today. The Industrial placement opportunities for 2012 are now open for applications

We offer undergraduates like you the opportunity to gain two 6 month placements in two different roles in two different businesses over 12 months, gaining you double the experience!

Successful completion of your Industrial Placement can also lead to a place on the Graduate Scheme before you go back to University. There's not much to be gained from watching someone all day, so you'll have two 6-month placements in real roles. This is a great way to gain valuable experience because you'll have genuine responsibilities and accountability. And with the full support of your Line Manager, Personnel Manager, Mentor and the Graduate Co-ordinator, you can be confident your contributions will make a positive impact on our business. Other people on Industrial Placements have impressed us by completing projects such as the redesign of a production floor, helping to develop and launch a new range of sandwiches, and saving us over £100,000 a year by looking at our production efficiencies. We hope you'll aim just as high.
