Founded in 2001 by the Gower brothers, Jagex has grown from its relatively humble beginnings into an industry leader for video games development and publishing. Creators of the world’s largest free to play browser based MMO, RuneScape, we have grown from a team of two brothers in a dusty British bedroom, to a group of over 400 passionate and enthusiastic team members based in the slightly less dusty surroundings of the Cambridge Science park, the oldest science park in Britain, situated just outside of Cambridge city centre.

We are currently looking for smart, creative and most importantly, passionate university students to join us for a year’s industry placement here at our offices in Cambridge.

We’ve been running a placement scheme for over half a decade now, so we’ve got quite a bit of experience when it comes to students. Our students come from a wide variety of institutions and have studied courses ranging from Computer Science to Business Studies and Marketing.

Some of our previous placement students have made their mark in player support, tools development, community management, quality assurance and creative design. We'll support whatever path you choose.

Besides the heaps of benefits, we also offer all our placements 20 tailored training sessions and seminars including talks from the CEO and CFO, managerial courses, coaching on interview techniques, as well as shadowing in any aspect of the business you want to explore.
