I can truly say I have not only been given a fantastic opportunity for a work placement but I couldn’t of asked for a nicer bunch of people to work with. I joined a month before the BookaSpa website was launched and have gained so much out of my placement. Not only am I trained in both golf and spa sales, I am also my own customer service agent too as we are a small team. In addition to my sales and customer service role I have also been given responsibilities within the company such as website editing and social media launches. However, it’s not all hard work, there is a real work hard play hard attitude here and of course there are perks to the job! As a team we are regularly building relationships and visiting hotels, gaining free treatments and free products! This is the right placement for you if you want a challenging placement which will provide you a real insight into the working environment.

Spending my placement year at golfbreaks.com has proven to be the best decision I have made since being at University. Golfbreaks.com take on many placement students every year so they really know how to ensure you make the most of your year. It is a relatively small company so you really do have an important role within the business and you have the responsibility to make decisions independently, especially when dealing with clients. Working for Golfbreaks.com has allowed me to learn so much, especially as I was able to spend time in other departments. The atmosphere of the company is fantastic, it’s very young and vibrant and everybody can enjoy the many perks of the business. Throughout my year I have stayed at some amazing venues and still have a Portugal trip to look forward to next year! I’ve met so many brilliant friends and had so many great experiences that will stay with me forever – I honestly couldn’t recommend this placement enough.

If you had to design an ideal placement, I would honestly say Golfbreaks is it. Work is fun, everyone in the company is great, and the perks aren't bad either! One of the main things I feel has benefitted me is that because the company is smaller than some, you are exposed to a wider variety of business activities. The experience you gain from this will not just help you in your final year at University, but in later life as well.

Teeofftimes itself is ever growing, making it an exciting time to work here. I feel that I am entrusted with tasks that constantly challenge me, which has helped fully integrate me into the role, and helped develop my skills. I am gaining an idea of how a successful company operates, and as it continues to grow, it is an excellent opportunity for others to gain this too.
