RateMyPlacement.co.uk is one of the leading online resources for students, universities and employers involved in undergraduate work placements & internships. The website was launched during our final year at Loughborough University in 2007 and the business is now quickly growing with 2010 set to be a huge year for the Company. Consequently, we are now expanding our team and recruiting for recent graduates to join us in a full-time capacity.
- Job Objective
The role of the Digital Executive will be to initially support and work alongside the existing team (consisting of 3 Directors & a Student Marketing Manager) in delivering an outstanding service to our online users (students) and corporate clients (recruiters) through the website and via our e-mail marketing and services. In the longer term, there is potential to develop and grow the role into a management position within the Company.
- Duties & Tasks
The below list provides an example of the type of activities you will be involved in but is by no means exhaustive or set in stone and the role will quickly evolve depending on your personal skills and aims.
* Using our Content Management System (powered by WordPress) to ensure that the website is kept up-to-date.
* The creation of new webpages
* Uploading and managing our client content (including company profiles, vacancy listings etc.)
* Researching & writing blog posts and news articles
* Delivery of our e-mail marketing and services to our database of users
* Analysis and research of our users and online activity
* Reporting via Google Analytics
* Involvement in the management and planning of our Search Engine Optimisation and Pay-Per-Click strategies
* Design and production of promotional material for our offline activities
* Management of our social media presence including Facebook, Twitter, and Forums
- Job specifications & requirements
The successful candidate will first and foremost be personable, sociable and keen to show off what they can do within a young and dynamic team. We are looking for a recent graduate who will ideally have technical skills including knowledge of & experience using HTML, web design, Word Press and Photoshop. We aren’t looking for a fully blown web developer but a competent working knowledge of HTML and some design skills are key. This is a role that will combine both technical skills with creativity and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a real impact to the Company.
You will be joining our existing team of 4 and therefore this is an opportunity to become an integral part of the Company as we grow and move forward in 2010. You will be working closely alongside the Directors and will be provided with full training but we are also looking for someone who can quickly settle in and bring new ideas, creativity and enthusiasm to the team.
- Location
We are based in a brand new office in London Victoria, a very short walk from the train/underground station with Central London on our doorstep.
- Salary & Benefits
Initially £24,000 per annum, plus benefits including company performance related bonuses, company laptop and regular social events. We very much operate a ‘work hard, play hard’ culture!
