Next week will be the first-ever Global Entrepreneurship Week, which will be a worldwide celebration of enterprising behaviour running in over 75 countries. High-profile international figures, entrepreneurs and leaders will engage with young people to help unleash their ideas and discuss why enterprise is more important than ever in light of today’s urgent challenges — from the economy to energy and the environment.
The week itself was co-founded by Make Your Mark, the UK campaign to unlock enterprise potential and it is now a worldwide entrepreneurship phenomenon.
So why are we at RateMyPlacement.co.uk making a fuss about it?
We created RateMyPlacement.co.uk whilst on our placement and launched the website last year with the help of enterprise officers at Loughborough University so we wanted to feature stories of other enterprising people, and enterprising students on placement to try and make you aware of the opportunities available to ‘unleash’ your potential!
Next week we will have features on; our progress over the week as we re-visit Loughborough to meet the Entrepreneur of the Year 07; have Top 5 Tips for placement students looking to be more enterprising and feature Question & Answer sessions with the following people:
- one of our current clients who began his company on placement ten years ago and now takes on 15 placement students himself
- a student currently on placement working for himself and growing the company he created himself in first year
- RateMyPlacement’s very own mentor and owner of Home Business website www.EnterpriseNation.com
